MDF Board or Medium-Density Fiberboard is a type of engineered wood product that is produced by breaking down wood residuals into wood fibers and forming them with glue into panel by applying high tempearture and pressure. MDF wood is denser, finer and smoother than particle wood, yet the strength of MDF is less of commercial plywoods. MDF in the market are sold mostly as interior grade and are not suitable for usage in high humidity area.
PTK Wood produces veneered MDF board with different type of face and back veneer, ranging from natural teak veneer, reconstituted teak veneer to different type of tropical veneers.
Applications:
- Veneered MDF is an afforadble, yet beautiful alternative to fancy plywoods. It is commonly used in furniture making to reduce production cost.
- Use for interior decoration such as partition walls and doors
- Use for making souvenirs and different DIY item.
- Unless waterproof grade (green) MDF is used, MDF is not suitable for external use or areas with high moisture content.
